If there's a better place to ask this let me know, you guys are what I could find and I figure you'd all know a thing or two. So I just moved into a new house and I want to protect the new carpet from my chair. It's a very thick carpet, so I need a mat that works for that. But the main thing is I like the feeling of the chair on a carpet. I like having the chair be set in a spot when I put it there, and not being able to roll freely. Please help, Im a plus size, tall lady. Im on the hyper mobile side and enjoy sitting with one leg tucked under the other, or with my legs crossed, and tend to get uncomfortable with both feet on the floor (I know, I know its the best position for posture!) Im considering steelcase, branch, Humanscale, and Herman Miller. Ive been looking at madisonseating and seating mind to find refurbished or open box models in order to keep it under $500. So I thought the super cheap Haworth Zody I got from FB Marketplace would solve my issue, but it's broken. Now I'm almost at the end of the 30 day return period for a Steelcase Amia from BTOD that I love everything about -- EXCEPT I wish it had more lumbar support. That is the only thing missing from this chair for me. I'm considering returning it and just getting a refurbed Leap 2, since everyone seems to universally love that one, and supposedly it has better lumbar, but I just can't seem to decide. Unfortunately I don't have anyplace near me to try the Leap to even know if I'll like it.
