Hi, I bought a steelcase series 2 chair a few months ago. I was sitting on my chair, my arms on the armrests when the armrests suddenly popped and the posts are loose. I can see a compartment where the armrest meet that does not seem to sit right, I can close them and hear a pop but they don't stay closed. I tried to see if I could remove the seat to fix it but I do not have the 2 black buttons they describe in the disassembly manual. I have one on the left side of the chair but on the right side there is a receded button I can't easily access. I tried pressing the buttons in different combinations but it doesn't work. Does anyone know how I can fix that or at least how I can remove the seat so I can look at it and see how it works. Hi, I have a 10 years old leather office chair; the kind that has high back rest (could put my head on it) and arm rest. I sit on this chair at least 8 hours a day because I work from home. I notice black stain (many tiny dots) on the tile floor for a while and never knew where they came from. It's very hard to get those black spots off the floor. Today I lean back on the chair too far, the chair flipped and I was on the floor. Luckily I didn't get injured. I noticed a lot more black particles on the floor. After googling, people say it either comes from the wheels or from the cylinder. Since it's super difficult to get these black spots off the floor, I don't want to have them again.
