Hey yall, TLDR: want opinions on purchasing Steelcase Leap V2, HM Aeron, or Haworth Fern post back surgery. Comfort is important, but support and long-term care are essential. Which would yall suggest I teach college and spend excessive periods seated while grading. This has, unfortunately, accelerated some back issues that now require a Micro-Discectomy--getting the surgery Thursday. I'm looking to buy a nice office chair, Steelcase Leap gets a ton of acclaim but I also see a lot of owners saying the seat cushion bottoms out and makes their butt hurt or go numb. The only way I can rationalize those two conflicting things is that maybe the people the cushion doesn't work for are a small minority of users It doesn't make sense that one of the best regarded chairs would have such a glaring problem. Can anybody shed light on this Part of the concern is people saying the cushion gets worse over the first year, which would put it past a 30 day return window.
